Our Parched Hearts

Fr. Dan Riley shares a reflection about our God who is living waters for places where we are parched. We invite you to take a few minutes to pray and reflect with Fr. Dan. The image is from tonight's sunset at Cape Cod, where Fr. Dan is spending time at the friars retreat home. Share your thoughts below.

Listening to Fr. Dan's voice and words,I think of how many of us long to live at the Mountain always. We are trying to find a way to bring the Mountain home with us and live it every day. There is something very powerful in Fr. Dan's suggestion to create a habit of stepping back into the cave of my heart - for a time - just to hear the small, quiet whisper of the Lord's voice - to be renewed, or at least to be able to bear to walk out there again and get back to work. I am strengthened. Ready, again to say "Here I am Lord". At least for today. Perhaps I should try this again tomorrow.
