From the Buffalo area: Take Route 400 south which turns into Route 16 south. At Maplehurst take Route 17 (New Interstate 86) east to Exit 28 (Cuba). Take Route 305 south for 6.4 miles, passing through the town of Cuba. Turn left onto Route 1 (the only way you can turn) and drive 4.2 miles. Turn right onto a dirt road; there is a white post lettered with the name "Mt. Irenaeus" at that turn. Follow the dirt road for 1.5 miles, taking the first right fork, then the next right turn up the hill.


From Erie, Cleveland, and points West: Get to Route 17 east (New Interstate 86), then follow the directions above.


From New York City, Binghamton, Rochester, and points East: (Follow the signs for the local detour on Route 1 as Mt. Irenaeus is included in local traffic). Get to Route 17 west (New Interstate 86). Get off at Exit 29. Turn left off the exit toward Friendship and proceed on Route 275 south for 2 miles. Turn right onto Route 1 and follow that road with its few turns for 2 miles. Turn left onto a dirt road. There is a white post at that turn lettered "Mt. Irenaeus." Follow the dirt road for 1.5 miles, taking the first right fork then the next right turn up the hill.


From Olean-Portville area: Take Route 417 east to Portville, then Route 305 north out of Portville 1/2 mile past West Clarksville. Turn right onto Route 1 and drive 4.2 miles. Turn right onto a dirt road, etc. as above.
